What would be the ideal entry time into the pre-live market?

Good evening, lately I've been testing two strategies, but still without success in the pre-live market, I usually enter with 6 minutes left looking for a big swing variation and close my position getting close to 2 minutes or earlier, already in the 2 minutes I try to observe the moving averages and explore where the market is going! Could someone with experience tell me if the time I'm entering ahead of the market is adequate?
Always best to enter when you have a setup, no really time based. The market always reacts heavily at 2 minutes before the race for some reason and I'm sure some guys here will be able to tell you why.
But really you should only enter the market when a specific scenario happens i.e. the favourite is at 1.2 odds and has a huge amount matched there 100K the tick above is 60K and the ones above. You can say, well this looks to me like its at the bottom of its traded range due to such a high amount matched, it doesn't look like it will go past this level now.
Then liaise that with, runners 2 and 3 are at the top of there traded range and therefore would look like a very sensible Lay trade. This could happen 4 mins out or 30 seconds out.
Various things to note would be the volumes, flow of money, has another runner compromised out lay because runners 2 and 3 are now drifting etc.
Try focus on setup rather than time is my advice.
