When Newcastle went 4-0 up against Brighton in their last match I looked at the odds for the their next win. At that point is 3.0 win against Aston Villa which i thought was very high. So i placed a £1 bet as a test. Just as I thought the odds have shortened and i traded out before kick off for a 10% profit.

I was certain it would make a profit by placing g the bet early and the rest of the market backing Newcastle to drive the price down.

Not sure what to do next though. Anyone tried this before please?

IMO pre-off football price movement is driven mainly by info on teamnews and tactics etc. To have an edge you need to have inside info that puts you ahead of the market.

Everyone has visibility of results/form etc, so unlikely to be an edge there unless for some reason you are able to interpret them better than everyone else.

I watched a YouTube video some time ago saying that the owner of Brighton became a billionaire by placing bets super early.

Let's say Haaland scores two hattricks in a row he will jump on Haaland to score a hattrick in his next match and then trade out when regular fans bet on him in the coming days in the odds fall.

But just sounds to easy.
