I didn't want to sound pedantic but saving data with Guardian helps with data analysis, which is valuable, whereas 'backtesting' has a more specific meaning in trading; it refers to simulating actual strategy execution over historical data, including timing, rules, and constraints. It's probably a good idea that you've made it clear that a deliverable could be data collection, and basic analsys or more complex backtesting is very much down to them.

The only issue might be charging enough, people often don't appreciate that it takes time to gather requirements, write, test, document, modify etc etc. Even making a cup of coffee comes out at about 1/2 a day.
