Trading in running in horse racing is not my thing - however these comments are the bi-product of some pre-off modelling I have been working on. If they are helpful - let me know and I will post some more. These are the comments for 1205 @ CHELTENHAM today.

CALIFET EN VOL (IRE)

In-running green light

Tracking the leaders comfortably
Jumping economically rather than spectacularly
Holding position without being asked from 4 out → 2 out

In-running red flag

Being forced wide mid-race
Losing rhythm through a sequence of fences (not a single error, but disruption)

BARLOVENTO (IRE)

Profile: Quietly strong transfer candidate

In-running green light

Settled midfield with one paced move forward after halfway
Jumping in rhythm without being rushed

In-running red flag

Early keenness or being dragged into a pace duel
Needing reminders before the turn for home

PUSH THE BUTTON (IRE)

In-running green light

Clean, economical jumping early
Sitting just off the pace rather than leading

In-running red flag

Any early loss of ground at fences
Being pushed along before the downhill run

SECRET DES DIEUX (FR)

In-running green light

Relaxed early, not pulling
Clear sight of fences, jumping straight

In-running red flag

Fighting the rider early
Being shuffled back into traffic mid-race

JORDANS CROSS (IRE)

In-running green light

Jumping fluently through the first circuit
Delivered late rather than moved early

In-running red flag

Any awkward jump before halfway
Being asked to hold position aggressively on the bends

QUEBECOIS (FR)

In-running green light

Controlling or co-controlling the pace
Jumping boldly without pressure

In-running red flag

Denied the lead
Forced to race off the bridle before 3 out

SCORSESE (IRE)

In-running green light

Clear lead in a small, stretched field (unlikely scenario)

In-running red flag

Any crowding or lateral pressure
Early jumping errors (often terminal)
