Question regarding servant use of 'percent of balance)

Hi, I'm probably missing an obvious answer somewhere, but does using a servant condition where the stake is determined by a percentage of current balance, does BA need to make a call to the BF API in order to determine current balance (and therefore stake) or does it just work off the last balance reported and recorded by BA? Thank you.

Servant's (or automation) rules works off your current balance which is updated automatically in the background (from memory I think its retrieved once every 10secs).
