I have spent last 10 hours using Chatgpt trying to sort out my problem i even subcribed for a more powerfull version ? ..but it just keeps going round and round in circles..
I have 2 Automation files One triggers A sound to say if i have won or lost ..Then i just added another rule thats say how much profit i have made...But when both files run the it only plays one sound file which is the total profit sound file....the winning result sound file does not play..Im sure its because its trying to play 2 sound files at same time.
I need to add a delay to the second sound file...
Any Help please
How to create a 5 second delay?
Your inkling could be correct.
Code runs pretty fast, if you have in your automation a rule to play a sound then another straight after, they would be executed less than a millisecond apart. Your first sound is probably playing, then the second plays immediately over it.
as for the solution, go from:
(first play sound rule)
(second play sound rule) immediately after
...to:
(first play sound rule): Set Stored Value 'Timer' = 0 on the end of the rule, make sure it's an integer not text
(extra rule "Set or Modify a stored value only" to increment timer): Set SV Timer = Timer + 1 Make sure this rule refires every 1 sec
(second play sound rule): Add condition to play when Timer = X where X is 1 second longer than your first sound file's length
