Anyone care to recommend the best place to turn up and trade from in London?
I emailed the canary wharf place but son;t seem to have got a response back. I realise I should just pick up the phone which I fully intend to do but just wondering if anyone has any other recommendations to look at???

Canary Wharf for me. There is another place in North London Elite Bet I wouldn't be surprised to find others have appeared but those are the two that I know of.

Canary Wharf is the opposite side of London to Knightsbridge but in terms of miles I would say 6-7 miles to either of them. If you catch the tube you need Highgate for Elite Bet and Canary Wharf DLR is self explanatory.jimrobo wrote:anyone know which one is closer to knightsbridge off the top of their head?? I have a do on saturday night there?
PS Check London Transport because there is a lot of work at weekends on the tube. Transport for London
no worries, I think I will go for the canary wharf place, I knew it was accross london my friend whos do it is works in canary wharf so he knows it pretty well. I downloaded some tube map anyway which includes any closed lines due to work so should get there ok. Manchester to london euston is 2 hours! It would take me a lot longer to get to my parents which is about a quarter of the distance!
I went to the canary wharf one once a couple of years ago, nice place, but it's kind of hidden away in the back streets there and you'll need to arrange with them beforehand to open the gates (assuming its all the same now.) I drove there but I think I remember seeing that if you're on foot they can pick you up from the station. The tube station on the jubilee line is probably the nicest of all the london underground stations (I've lost count how many times they've shown the actors coming out of it on Hustle) but like Jolly Green says do check for engineering works as they have been closing that line very regularly during the weekends recently and from experience the replacement bus is agonisingly slow, took me nearly 2 hours to get from Greenwich (just beside Canary Wharf on the same line)to Waterloo which would have been a 15 minute tube ride
Last time I went to Canary Wharf last year in March time from memory on Saturday & Sunday and start developing flu like symptons on Monday. And realised after doing some online research that I was having swine flu. Luckily got medicine in time, spent 6 days straight in bed but still tryiing to trade from laptop.
On the positive side, I think I must've developed some immunity as I went Nov/December without any flu like illness.
I think it must be to do with the fact that people from all over the world come to Canary Wharf in general (you'll see lots of tourists on weekends) as well as to betting exchange in particular.
I'm not writing this to scar you but something to be aware of. I personally think I was lucky to get milder form of swine flu .
