How many people have made inappropriate or lewd comments to a female work colleague?
I know I have, and I know many people who have, women included
I can't help but think there's more to his sacking than this!
Sueing the News of the World may have come back to haunt him?
Andy Gray
Quite.
Everyone says things from time to time that cause unintentional offense. He probably saw his comments as harmless office banter. IMHO, he should have been asked to apologise to the lady concerned, and that should have been the end of the matter.
As for his sexist views, they don't affect his ability to do his job, so they aren't any of Sky's business. Do Sky think they are the Thought Police?!?
All that said, Sky operate within a PC Britain, and to have acted otherwise would have given people like Vince Cable ammunition to use against them...

Looks like Keys could be heading for the same fate as this new video has emerged and I'm sure it wont be the last

I hope they get rid of him and replace him with James Richardson who used to do Football Italia on Ch4. Fat chance of that though, more likely he'd be replaced by some bland breakfast tv type

Unfortunately, I suspect you're right.
I think TV companies are often terrified of causing controversy, and go for bland and uninteresting programming.
On MOTD, for example, it would be good if you got proper debate, like in the days of Jimmy Hill. It would be great if one day Lawro were to say to Hanson 'I think you're analysis of that team's defensive setup is wrong, and here's why'. It ain't gonna happen though...
Speaking of Hill, have a look at this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLy7Fnq7ESg

I agree - It's pure hypocrisy.
I think it stems from a distorted view of the world which classes certain groups as oppressed, and therefore immune from criticism.

I agree with you all but watching that clip hgodden posted of Keysie wanting to 'smash it' LOL is very amusing but very very cringeworthy and I'm sure Souness gives him a little kick as a gesture at the end to say 'come on mate thats enough now'
Haha

I like Jeremy Clarkson's take on the matter:

Full credit to him for having the guts to say what he thinks!
