Preston Britains Most Crime Ridden Town
No - I spend too much time here to be out committing crime! 
BTW, the stats didn't say that Preston was the country's most crime ridden town!
What it said was that a particular area (which includes at least part of the city centre) was the worst. So when you take into account the crime that you get on a typical Saturday night in a city centre, the figure isn't as bad as it might appear...
I am surprised, though. You get all sorts of pond life in the town centre on a Saturday night, but the area is well policed, and you don't often see violent behavior...
