You still get plenty of very small fields in Ireland, it was only the other day we had a 2 runner Graded race if I remember correctly!Euler wrote:How come the Irish races always have good fields but the UK is so thin on the ground?
At Southwell and Towcester there are only two races on both cards of 10 or more runners.
At Clonmel there are only two races below ten runners.
Also bear in mind the size of the horse population in both countries and the number of races in both countries and that will help explain it.
I've never been to Ireland, but I once went to the Isle of Man, and the people there were incredibly chilled out!
