Market Making

Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

If you have a high-volume pre-match football market where the prices are more or less static, is it a good strategy to use the market maker function to simply put money on both sides of the book?

Or is it a bit more complicated than that?

Thanks

Hi Jeff
Not always that simple..
I was doing something similar and it works well generally...but what you have to watch for is late changes to the team sheet..(amongst others)
I was doing this on the Man U V WHU (I think) and fergie announced a weaker side and the price shot up..(cant remember, but about 10 ticks, which can get costly when you are using large stakes :o )
