Spreadsheet time delay

Hi,

Hving recorded a number of trades i have came up with an automated spreadsheet to execute my strategy. However, after i wrote the spreadsheet it was clear it did not live up to my expectations. Through the firefighting process the delay between the Betangel software and the excel spreadsheet was quite significant. I'm talking around a second but it was really affecting the performance of the strategy. So can i ask is that because of my internet conection speed or the shoddyness of my laptop? My laptop specs are listed below:
Ram 2GB
Processor: AMD Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36 2GHZ

The speed of your spreadsheet could also depend on how many formulas you have, The more formulas, the slower the sheet and also some formulas are a huge resource drain and can slow it down significantly.
