Is it just me, or are Man U's early odds a bit high at 3.8 to back, considering that they're having a much better season than Chelsea?

Sounds about right to me Jeff.
United haven't beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since April 2002 (United won there on penalties in the CL in '07).
Additionally Chelsea are coming back into form and United look like they might be tailing off a bit plus United have serious injury concerns.

Dave - We'll see...
It true we've been unlucky in recent trips to Stamford Bridge, but that fact will help to motivate the squad.
Up front, Rooney and Hernandez are awesome (whereas Torres has yet to find his form at Chelsea, to put it mildly!). And if Vidic and Ferdinand are both fit, then Chelsea will find it hard to put one past us.

Jeff,
Before the match I would have agreed with you as Man Utd were trading at 4.0 which seemed a bit high. However, having listened to the match, the BBC commentators must have been confused by the scoreline as the statistics show a different story. Chelsea 16 shots Man Utd 5, it looks like Chelsea were very unlucky tonight. Maybe, with the same line ups in 6 days the score will be Man Utd 1-3 Chelsea.

UTD better team? what match did I watch last night then? UTD has never won an european title as the better team. In europe they always had an extra player on the pitch, the referee.. Chelsea was clearly robbed again last night (LIVERPOOL, BARCELLONA, INTER MILAN and MAN UTD).freddy wrote:Utd were the clearly the better team tonight,
they got lucky with the penalty decision yes, but shit happens and it's about time they had abit of luck agianst Chelsea given resent results.
Ah, but it's what you do with the shots that counts!pdupre1961 wrote:Chelsea 16 shots Man Utd 5, it looks like Chelsea were very unlucky tonight.

Luckily for us, Torres is going through the same problem our Diego Forlan went through a few years ago - that of not being quite able to find the back of the net!

Not many teams come away from Old Trafford with a victory, but anything's possible!pdupre1961 wrote:Maybe, with the same line ups in 6 days the score will be Man Utd 1-3 Chelsea.

Because Chelsea have to score, it should be a great, attacking game!

So did the italian press freddy. I truly thinK chelsea deserved to win last night or at least a draw with the last minute penalty not given. I am not a chelsea fun if you are wondering but, I have to give chelsea my support for the last 4-5 years scandales referee decisions they had against. I hope they will go throw..
Only guiness please or irish whisky tx mancestermike..

Have a look at this thread on the Chelsea fan supporters forum for example.

When you have you own fans saying
"Diabolical performance"
"We played badly"
"We played terribly"
"we were poor terrible completely awful".
"Forget the ramires foul right now. We were poor across te park, we didn't play, we didn't deserve to draw the game."
"everyone can talk about the ref cheating and blah blah but over the last few years we keep using that excuse honestly we were not the best team on the night and I think the result was fair. A result would have been generous we were that bad"
you know you have not played well and thats just page 1

Of cause they should have had a penalty but most fans seem to except they simply were not good enought on the night to get a result.

Tipically those who judge a match without any kind of bias, judge it better.
I won't say Chelsea playe wonderful football, but imho Man Utd were lucky.
