Hello
James here, new to Bet Angel. I've been trading for about a year and am still learning.

If I try scalping, it just goes the opposite direction. (Yes I know, start clicking the opposite to what I first think haha)

I really wish I could just predict a movement.
My bank roll is around the 100 mark, so quite small still.

Anyway, hi, looking forward to picking up the idea :-))

Welcome

I suggest you save the scalping for the really strong markets. During the week most markets are going to move around quite a bit and if you're scalping you could get caught.

Hi cheers!

Um...are you suggesting no scalping until the weekend??

I've just watched a load of videos by a bloke called "Badger", wow he seems to make money scalping all day every day!

Although, I don't believe all I see in these videos....people just say " so, all you do is click this one, then that one, that's it, a tenner"
Nobody ever says "right, what you want to look out for is this, when this happens, it's time to get in"

Hey thanks for the welcome anyway mate!

Welcome m8. You might not find the holy grail here but the forum is professional and can be very informative. Hope you enjoy the journey !

cheers mate!
"Holy grail" I wish !

If I'm honest I think it's just impossible to predict the way it's going to go. It is just complete guesswork really isn't it?
I truly believe the only people who can trade horses pre race are ex stocktraders.

I've tried a couple of other bits of software, other software which I didn't like, Evolution which is cool but no charts (not that they mean anything to me)...
I think Bet Angel is quite good, although the ladder isn't up to much. It doesn't auto centre or show the updated prices after a goal at football...

Ladders shouldn't auto centre or you end up clicking on the wrong place. Just press enter and the ladder centres on that key press. It's as simple as that. Do the same after a goal.

What is your current strike rate?

Hi
ah ok I didn't know that

still, any clicking enter or whatever is just extra things you don't really want to be messing with no? I'd rather it just unsuspended with the new price....can't be that hard? (others do it)

Strike rate? haha absolutely awful. Terrible. :)

Just to clarify mate I wasn't nitpicking Bet Angel. I really like it. Just wish I could finally understand when to get in and when not...

do a search for james 1st post for newbies, think its trading in the dark (something like that). that would be a good place to begin. take it slowly and easy and ignore anything by anyone called badger.

no credability at all. what little he had, he lost bit by bit over a couple of months, then he lost the remainder one saturday afternoon in a quite spectacular way.

Hmmm interesting stuff....isn't he part of a company called "Centaur"? teaching people how to trade? I wouldn't call that "no credibility".....
I've been watching his videos as I'm trying to learn, and I don't think there are better videos out there...seems very knowledgeable to me...but then again, people who make videos always win...funny that!

I'm only interested because I've been "learning" a bit about scalping through his vids, and now you say it's basically useless, at least now I know!
Can you recommend better ones for me mate? or have you yourself done any?

Badger has been quick to slag off others and pretend to be an expert but when he was challenged he was unable to prove he could actually trade. That is what to75ne is talking about.

If you are a Bet Angel user we are going refresh all out videos to do a range of new videos designed to get you off on the right foot. We are looking to get feedback from people about exactly what they want to see. It's no good asking for 'which button do I presss to make a million ;) ?'
