Hi

I seriously need help coming up with the formula to put in to the BetAngel_Multiple template that comes with BetAngel Pro.

I will manually place the lay bet but then need a formula to use in the spreadsheet to automatically trade and green my selection.

The formula needs to work something like this:

if price => 35% of orginal bet then green up. or if price < 2.0 green up.

Seems simple just can't crack the exact formula in the template!

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Many thanks

Hi,

When you say if price => 35% of orginal bet, do you mean the opening trade or your stake?

i.e £100 placed at 2's +35% =£135 or
£100 placed at 2's +35% =2.7

Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

Thank you so much for the reply.

This is spot on:

£100 placed at 2's +35% =2.7

Muchly appreciated!

It's not as easy as it seems, a lot depends on what % increase you are after.

If you are after increases like 5%, 10%, 15% etc, it shouldn't be a problem, but the "odd" increases like 11% will throw up errors, and cause formulas to fail.

For example, if you lay at 3's looking for an 11% increase, your target figure will be 3.36, which does not exist. Rounding, RoundUP and RoundDOWN will sometimes work, but in this case, all three fail, and I guess that's not what you want.

If you look at the attached, in G202 you'll see a formula that correctly identifies the target price.Just put your opening trade and target % in D202 and E202

Note: It's an array formula, and has to be entered with "Ctrl, Shift, Enter" not just "Enter"

As to the second part of your question, "or if price < 2.0 green up.", could cause problems as well. If you lay at 1.98, 1.99 is less than 2's so you could get your opposite trade entered there, or if you lay at 1.99, well that's still less than 2's so you could end up buying and selling at the same price.

It's probably best if you separate them and treat each one as two different entities.

Cheers.Nigel

Nigel... Thank you so much for your replies I really really appreciate it!

Since the percentage isn't gonna work out and can cause errors we can scrap the percentage and I can just put in the exact odds for each back bet that needs to be placed and then green up. I can easily do this as its not that many bets every day and will actually work out better than the percentage.

The second thing with the if the odds drop lower than 2 - this is as a safety to place the bet and green up so I don't lose the complete bet to odds way below the lay bet.

I hope you understand what I am tryin to say!

Thank you so much for your help and I am looking forward to your reply :)

You could also try vlookup.

Thank you so much for the responses.

So I am useless at these excel formulas.

I desperately need a formula that will automatically place the back bet when the price reaches the odds specified in the formula. I can change these for each individual bet. Then auto green up.

Also if the price drops to 2.0 (or a specific price) it will place the bet and green up. This is a safety to close the trade before losing too much.

I hope you understand and thank you for the help!!!

Something like this:

if G13 => 8 then CLOSE TRADE [WITH GREENING:TRUE] or if G13 < 1.98 CLOSE TRADE [WITH GREENING:TRUE]

With 8 and 1.98 being any odds I manually put in.

Just need the above in a formula that would work with the excel sheet. By using the CLOSE_TRADE command would it close the trade at the same amount I layed it at or do I need to manually add the amount?

I have to say, I would advise extreme caution here.

Are you wanting to use this in running? If so, it is unlikely a specific price trigger will work for stopping losses.

But I think you are after this:

=IF(OR(G13>=8,G13<=1.98),"GREEN","")

TheTub is right - use extreme caution here. It is a very real possibility that the price will 'crash' through your specific price / stop loss barrier. You might want to consider using a combination of the 'stop trigger price' and 'place at ticks ' function .

Please can you explain these two terms to me?

=IF(OR(G13>=8,G13<=1.98),"GREEN","")

Will the above line green and hedge across all outcomes?

Thank you for the help!

I have attached a screenshot of the example. As you can see it should have closed and greened up this trade - for a negative profit - but the point is it hasn't closed.

Please could someone help?

Many thanks

Nitsud,

The command you have entered in the Global command line is correct.

The command has also worked properly as evidenced by the GREEN_ALL being visible in L6. I suspect that you have not cleared the Global Status marker and it contains OK (we cant see this from your screenshot). If you used the sheet on a previous match and did a GREEN_All, then you need to clear the GLOBAL STATUS (O6) before running the sheet on another match.

Thanks James, I read that elsewhere on the forum and DID make sure it was clear. I also reinstalled bet angel and started with a fresh Template. It still isn't placing the correct bets. I just had it on the Den haag football match. It randomly placed the bet at the odds of 3.65 which ended me in a loss when the command was to green when the odds are below 1.75 or above 8. Seems really odd. Do you know why this might be?

Thanks again for your help!

Thanks guys I have got it working!

Just need one more tweak to this formula. Is there anyway to have a like 60 second delay after the market has been suspended before checking if the conditions have been met?
