So I want to have two bets (let's say a back and a lay) at predefined odds and stakes waiting to be submitted, on a single selection. How would you do it? I only started to play with Excel yesterday and I couldn't come up with anything that works. Do I need to have two "bet rules" fields, one for each bet?
Thanks in advance.
Two bets (back and lay) pending on the same selection
Firstly thanks for the answer. I forgot to mention that only one of the two bets will be submitted on trigger(I will make a button for each), and from what I understand the OFFSET command places a follow-up bet, and that's not what I need. Do you think it can be done with IF? TY
Yes, I but I only want one bet to be placed. I will create a button that clears everything up for the next bet. I will be supervising everything. I think I can even automate that with a function, say when the bet is cancelled, fully matched, lapsed, clear everything up.
It's now clear to me that I failed to make myself understood.
To put it in a very simple way.
We have two bets, at predetermined odds and stakes.
A lay @ 1.5 for 100€ and a back @ 1.7 for 50€.
What I want is to be able to submit either one of them, but only one, at my command (let's say I make an Excel button that fills in the appropriate field with BACK or LAY command). So I will be the trigger, nothing else. I can't do that on the normal BA ladder interface because the confirm box prevents me from setting up the second bet. I thought it might be possible in Excel.
I hope it's clear now/

Bibu,
With the confirm box, I assume this is the bet confirmation, this can be turned off by clicking on the spanner, going to Behivour and unchecking the show a bet confirmation message. Please be careful if you do this, I would suggest getting use to the software befor doing this.
You should be able to do what you want in the ladder interface if you are going to be the trigger.
You can set both bets up and see which, if any, gets picked up first and you can then cancel the other. I of course assume that the current price is about 1.60 and you are waiting to see which way it moves.
The big advantage of excel is that the commands become the triggers and the bets are automated in most cases. Not much use if you are the trigger.
I hope I have understood you correctly.

Thanks for the reply Shamrock, I think you understood pretty well.
To put it in an even more simple way: in the exact way that BA uses a confirm box for a bet, I want to have two confirm boxes for two separate bets and place either one of them at my command, be it a mouse click or something else.
A very simple way to do this, is to open two instances of BA, with the back bet in the first one, and the lay bet in the second one. But it would be a bit counter intuitive and I hoped I could get the same result via Excel in a more elegant way.
So unchecking the confirm option really would not help, because I want to have two bets (back or lay, odds, stake - all selected) waiting to be submitted on my trigger.

Hi,
I've just been reading through your thread, am I missing something?
It seems to me the easiest way to achieve what you want is to use the 'manual bet' section of BA.
There you can set up the predefined odds and stake on both the Back and Lay sides, and then when you see the price you desire click the appropriate button.
Seems a lot easier than setting something up in excel.
Cheers

I'm glad that helped.
However, I don't think there is a way of associating keystrokes with BA actions/buttons.
Cheers
