You may have read about my washing machine pumping a cotton cycle's worth of water into my kitchen recently!! I thought I had solved that issue but last night I had a shock.

I was sat at my PC when a friend called to say my son had injured himself at swim training. That was event two and I had to collect him. He seemed okay and so we settled down to an evening meal.

I generally check all the security of the house as the children go up to bed so at 9:15 I checked the doors and the patio etc. I noticed water on the rear drive but assumed the bath had overflowed; a common occurrence as my wife likes the bath deep!! I opened the door and the stench was unreal. I could hear a gurgling and turned to be greeted by..............George the Thirds..... :? :?  coming up through the drain OMG!!!

This was event number three and I had to find the drain rods to clear the sewer and drains! Finally about 45 minutes later there was an almighty slurp from the sewer and finally 6 feet of.....I won't say it again.....disappeared from view! I cannot explain how relieved it was....if you'll forgive the pun!

I'm hoping there won't be event number four!!!
