14:10 - Three big back orders on three different horse in the run up to the off. Switched runners only to get caught by the second big back.

Is this a tactic to benefit from xm? it seems they are targeting drifters that have stabilised then hitting (and probably getting matched at much better prices due to xm) which then produces an automatic reaction on the others. I suppose they then back the other runners?

We've all seen this tactic in the past but it hasn't lasted that long. Due you think it may be here to stay because of xm?

I got hit by that, £55 loss. I saw 7k pop up then they must of just dragged it down about 10 tics, the market recovered but I didn't take the chance and exited at a bad position.

Well I've lost all four so far as well, but it's because of this random backing. When there are four in a seven runner field you are quite likely to get caught.

Didn't notice last Friday. But he seems to have departed at the moment after the first four races?

I think that's more to do with the make-up of the races.

The next at Newcastle looks like a candidate for his return!...

Well I was shafted big style going from large positive amounts to negative amounts on two races. On the first three markets I was well ahead and at the last minute on all of them I got caught as those lumps hit the market. I did hold on for one as I felt the market would recover - I was correct but it was squeaky bum time for about 40 seconds!!

I then hit a run of 4 winners so I just have my nose in front now! Phew :o

I am 6 lost from 8!

I was at the front of the que at 1.38 for 1000 on the 3:30 at newmarket and for 20 seconds I was up against 10k on the other side and 2.91 of mine got matched!! Just feels like there is no money.

My imagination or is there much less money on the racing on Betfair recently?

It definatly harder / slower to get you orders filled these days, it's to do with the cross matching i believe

but it does work both ways i suppose you do get some matched that you normally wouldn't.
Still anyoing though
