My favourite tweet of the day:

"Sepp Blatter congratulates Sepp Blatter on beating Sepp Blatter to become president of FIFA in a close-run race against Sepp Blatter."

Doesn't exactly send out the right message does it? This just re-iterates the fundamental issues at the heart of FIFA. The constitution of any fair organsation should make this sort of thing impossible.

Fifa is such a corrupt regime that if they had any oil the Americans would invade

I think what's needed is for a national federation to have the courage to form a breakaway rival organisation.

Unless something happens outside FIFA to shake things up, things will carry on unchanged...

The problem is Jeff that the FA is a totally inept organisation and this gives them no chance of forcing a change at FIFA. The way they tried to get the vote postponed was amateurish beyond belief and has made even more enemies at FIFA.
I also find the hypocrisy from the FA outrageous. They were happy to go along with the corrupt regime at FIFA when they though they were going to get awarded the World Cup but having lost they now want to do something about it. If the FA had any intregrity then they would have started making a fuss about the goings on in FIFA a long time ago before the World Cup was awarded.

Well said Silent Dave...If the FA and the rest of the world federations supported, since 1974, the most 2 corrupted FIFA presidents ( Joao Havelange and Sepp Blatter), It means they also took benefit from all this corruption ..Their dissapointment for the 2018 world cup is the only reason why they are trying to raise their voices about fifa corruption..England will qualify for the 2012 European cup ,Bristish will spend 1.5 billion pounds for beers, flags and pubs subscriptions to sport channels and all happy again to carry on the corrupted FIFA and UEFA business....
I am sure you guys know Andrew Jennings, It was 5 years ago when he wrote FOUL,The secret world of Fifa... Probably the FA did not recieve a copy of it in 2006...

That world class football guru Placindo Domingo (also known for his opera singing) will be advising FIFA on its problems:

I'm not sure acting the role of characters who are in crisis qualifies him to lead FIFA out of one...
