Someone put in a back order for about 99K at 6.0.

I found it surprising that this didn't seem to spook the market, and also that the backer didn't cancel his order when people started to take his money.

Given that Cloud Rock didn't even place, I wouldn't say it was smart money...

i was sure it was going to drift out. when that 90 odd k came in i was waiting for him to pull it and the cowson didn't. slag. :evil:

Not sure it was the same race but I think he was switching his 99K b/w 1st and 3rd fav, I thought he got matched for quite a bit before the off and both horses never traded shorter IR.

My guess is that it was a bookmaker engaging in a bit of arbitrage of sorts, backing on Betfair and laying at a lower price with the general public...
