Betdaq stops taking Australian bets
Betting exchange Betdaq has stopped taking bets in Australia as it transpired that it had allegedly been operating without the relevant state licences, according to reports in newspaper The Australian. A spokesman for the Irish company is reported to have said: “A legal problem has developed. It should be sorted out soon but until further notice we will not be operating on Australian sport.” Betdaq had been taking bets on race meetings and Australian Rules Football, as well as promoting its online poker and casino products.
