Hey all,

Just interested to see the response of some the guys here, particularly those who are statistics nutters! How important is homework for you guys?... im not talking about trying to read the form to see if a runner has a increased chance than the price but more the statistical analysis of trainers/jockeys/combo's and likely doubles/trebbles and the like throughout the day where by increased liability may be found as the day progresses and some things pan out... how important is it in your trading plan for the day? particularly on bigger days like saturdays and tomorrow?! ...not really something i've dabbled in yet but would be interested to hear some the experienced guys take on it if they have one?

Thanks in advance.

Good luck tommorrow on the bank holiday!

I don't look at form at all but I know some people find it popular. But I will use a lot stats to try and indentify characteristics of a market. At the end of the day its a competitive market and any edge you can gain can make a big difference over time.

If you have access to historical data then I'm sure there are some good edges to be found - analysis by race type/length/number of runners/price of fav etc.

The closest I've ever got to this kind of analysis was a photo taken of the TV screen last year!...

What stats in particular do you look at?
