Hi all
Just read this on the at the races website..probably as usefull as an ashtray on a motorbike ,
One newish development over the last couple of years has been the increasing, and successful use of hoods; indeed, you would have made a profit by backing all horses wearing hoods on the Flat in this country over the last five years (16-113, +35.12). Henry Cecil and James Fanshawe have been the pioneers in this tactic, but today Clive Cox fits a hood to PEFRECT TRIBUTE in the 6f Group Three event at Ascot. That in itself isn’t why I’m interested in her, though; it’s more the return to 6f on decent ground and also the return to Ascot that might spark a return to her best. She recorded very fast times on her first two starts this season, the first over today’s course and distance, and the second on quick ground over Lingfield’s ultra-sharp 7f. She has tended to pull too hard on her recent outings at 7f/1m at other tracks, but travelled strongly for a long way at Newbury last time, and although her Group Three penalty makes this tough, the return to this course and distance (also ran well in the Princess Margaret Stakes last year) could see her return to form.
