This happened in the 16.30.
I have a feeling who ever placed the bet on quicuyo may have the account investigated.

I had a detailed look at this before starting racing this afternoon.

5:11 before post time somebody blundered into the market with a big back order on Quicyo. On the two data points around that exact time £8.4k was backed on that horse, at what looks like the wrong price. Probably fat fingers. That order was bigger than any of the volume on any of the other runners at that point. Volume quadrupled on this runner in the space of a few seconds.

The plunge in price on this forced cross matching into effect sending the prices of other runners way out.

I have a spreadsheet that put orders way out of the money to catch this sort of thing. I suggest others do the same. You only need to lay one of these at a short price with decent money once a year to more than pay for the effort.

Something odd also happened with Luggers Hall in the 14:25 Chepstow.

It apparently shot up to 1000.0 in-play, before going down to about 1.35 later in the race...

Commentator called the wrong horse as a faller.

Whatever happend, i think its sick that somebody somehow knew that this horses chances were much bigger than all other people would have thought. A 8.000 pound bet on an outsider like that looks like some insider work.

And what an effect it can have on the market, shouldnt be possible!

Thanks for your guys response.
