Hi
I submitted a number of bets in a market a few days ago ...all at the same odds and all with the same stake..
When i logged into that market again today I noticed that some of the odds had reduced...without me changing anything?
My questions are :-
How does this occur ?
If the odds can reduced (as in this example); can they also increase...which could be an issue?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter
I have only noticed that when I lay all horses @ 1.1 and one or more horses have been withdraw. betfair automaticly reduce your lay selection by few ticks. I never backed all horses so I never experienced the back case.

It's due to a non runner and the reduction factor gets applied to all lays. The reduction is applied to the reduction factor of the remaining runners so everything is proportional and therefore the actual reduction applied will be greater to the lower priced runners even though all bets were placed at the same odds.
The odds won't ever increase so no need to worry about that and all back bets will remain at the odds they were placed at with no reduction applied.
