Hungary is close to passing a law that critics say could undermine the independence of its central bank.
bl00dy good idea imho.

what have 'independent' central banks done for us? nothing good. they may be independent of governments (who are at least elected by the people) but they are certainly not independent of private banking.

apart from Mervyn King the MPC, for example, is just made up of private banking representatives.
