What have the markets been like today Peter? I didn't think they were worth the effort, especially now with the PC so have taken the day off from Betfair to do other stuff.
I don't like the look of today or tomorrow, but still keeping myself busy on other things. I just sit here waiting for an clear opportunity if one occurs. Currently testing a new version of BA, doing some stats work and messing around on Betdaq.

something odd just happened @ Taunton 15.40, the leading horse was traded @ 1.5 ( grey walff?), the horse has fallen to push the price @ 1000/1 but 1 second later the odds were traded again @ 3.25...I don`t think it was an illusion... has any one noticed the same?

Will you be posting the results?
If yes thank you in advance.

I have also noticed some strange activitys @ Wolverhampton 3.25 ( IN PLAY market as well) that involved Idol deputy, Mataajir and Aviso.Euler wrote:Didn't see that, but we think we have spotted something unusual in the markets. Will take a couple of weeks of data before we can tell if it us or the markets.

How long after the horse fell did it trade back at 3.25?enzabella2009 wrote:something odd just happened @ Taunton 15.40, the leading horse was traded @ 1.5 ( grey walff?), the horse has fallen to push the price @ 1000/1 but 1 second later the odds were traded again @ 3.25...I don`t think it was an illusion... has any one noticed the same?

Tomorrow is another day off for me - not worth the effort and also with such a major site/api etc change I would be far from surprised to see the day go without site issues. So I will leave others to test it out for me.Euler wrote:I don't like the look of today or tomorrow

From 1.5 to 1000/1 then from 3.25 to 1000/1 it may have taken, (101-102-103-104-105), 5seconds or possibly 6sec..andyfuller wrote:How long after the horse fell did it trade back at 3.25?enzabella2009 wrote:something odd just happened @ Taunton 15.40, the leading horse was traded @ 1.5 ( grey walff?), the horse has fallen to push the price @ 1000/1 but 1 second later the odds were traded again @ 3.25...I don`t think it was an illusion... has any one noticed the same?

Not sure I fully get what you are saying happened but could it not just be the people on course laid it to 1000 then the people betting off delayed pictures who were not aware the horse had fallen yet were still backing at the short odds assuming it was still running?

If the horse had not fallen it would have won the race. If the horse was already at 1.5 with or without pictures delay means that the horse was established as a possible winner. Probably the odds have dropped even lower then 1.5.. The strange thing is that when the horse has fallen the odds have skipped immediately to 1000 / 1 as usuall but an instant later the odds have started to steam very fast to reach 3.25 when the rider was already walking on the grass without the horse. I've never seen anything like that and though it has lasted a few seconds was too remarkable to ignore. I asked if others have noticed the same thing because I'm pretty sure of what I've seen..andyfuller wrote:Not sure I fully get what you are saying happened but could it not just be the people on course laid it to 1000 then the people betting off delayed pictures who were not aware the horse had fallen yet were still backing at the short odds assuming it was still running?
It is obvious that someone has clicked on the wrong horse, what is not obvious how could he/she make such a mistake or was it a tecnical fault? who knows?

F Grey Wulff (IRE) 7 11-12 Conor Quish (10) Emma Lavelle - 1.22 6.46 5.50 15% 2.19
Here it shows the horse was traded as low as 1.22 before fallen..
