From 'TrackSide':

"It looks like we'll be running half an hour late at Southwell. Graham Lee has been transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre Campus of Nottingham University Hospital with a serious leg injury."

I agree it is annoying.
A guy has his leg shattered, be out of work for months at the time of year where he makes most of his annual salary. No sick pay. Several operations, physio and pain. Will find it harder to get work when he has recovered. It really spoiled 10 minutes of my afternoon.

Graham Lee as a Grade 9 jockey should be getting standard "Sick Pay" of £218.15 NET a day from the PJA plus any private insurance he has as I understand it.

So before his own private insurance he should be getting the equivalent salary of £79,624 NET a year which is equal to roughly £131,000 Gross a year.

Sure he would much prefer to be riding and not have a broken leg obviously!
