Well played to him!

I read through the article and loved the bit that said he decided not to hedge his accum after the 4th leg one - considering the liability he would've required its hardly surprising!

I remember hearing he was gone training in the States, will be keeping an eye out for how he does.

Also I remember a good few years ago, every summer there was a news story of some random Grandpa Joe, worked a hard life, a few small bets etc, picked the winner of the Prem, Champ, Leagues 1+2, a few cricket bets and a random golf or tennis choice and scooped 6 or 7 figures for a layout of less than 20 quid usually. Haven't seen anything like that in recent years combining all the sports, saw a huge cleanup a few months ago on a 5 or 6 horse acca alright, but nothing combining a few different areas. Maybe the media are shitting themselves in case they headline another Elliott Short tale
