Did anyone trade monday? If so what was the fill rate like? Still poor after Cheltenham or what you'd expect from a normal monday? I'm just wondering whether to bother with the next couple of days but wont if liquidity is weaker than normal. Thanks

i done today. very modest. i cant really compare to last week as i was not trading (i went to chelters) or the weekend but, it was dire. markets seemed very thin, and the fill rate on the back side seemed to me "slower" than the fill on the lay side. although that is probably just my perception; i could not prove it in any empirical way, just felt like it. i hate monday and tuesday trading, i always wished i had not bothered, but having a week off, i was kinda itchy to have go. stupid really :|

It was a bit odd to see the fill rate improve on a Monday. Definitely something fishy going on.

liquidity, fill rate is all decided by bomber.
yesterday i feel he was in the markets but not on a large scale.

euler did you think the fill rate was the same/similar both sides?
to me it seemed to fill quicker on the lay side.

It's very rare for both sides to have an equal fill rate. There is usually a basis to one side or the other depending on whether the favourites are generally steaming or drifting on any one day.

I can dig and find out for you what occured yesterday if you wish.

IMO, fill rates are more important than liquidity

if you could it would satisfy my curiosity (and be appreciated) but not if its a bit of a hassal.

i think because i have not traded for a week, i am "seeing things", that normally my brain would filter out as noise.

if bomber is backing id expect the lay side of the fill rate to be quick, if hes flashing expect the back side to be quick.

Why are so many of you obsessed with "The Bomber"?
Work around it, develop a strategy to take advantage of large bets going in. I have a feeling that some use it as an excuse. I say this GENERALLY. It is not directed at anyone individual :)

Let the market be your slave and not your master!
