So basically I want to do the following.
Place a back bet on whatever in play horse who reaches the fixed odds I choose. p.e back at 2.1 whenever a horse reaches that odds.GU just doens't fire it up, I had success doing this through automation but I want it on guardian.
Look what I did

Hi,
this is perfectly feasible through excel, it requires a little work but perfectly feasible..
But could you explain please what's the idea behind your technique? the way I see it, you can only lose..
let's say we fire £10:
a) only one horse reaches 2.1, you win £11
b) two horses reach 2.1, you win £1
c) if 3 or more horses reach 2.1(which happens in most cases), you lose money.
of course we take for granted that one of the horses that manage to place the bet then also wins.... but in a live race the odds move at fractions of a second and very often happens that the bet isn't matched for lack of time

So man, if you convince me that this is a good strategy I'll set up the system and try it out for us.

There is another thread you created about this, it's probably worth sticking to just one unless you want to confuse people. You are trying to do a back all but you have not set any trigger point relative to a runner. It wont trigger because it doesn't know what it is triggering against.

Backing all if they are below a set odds would cause a catastrophic loss, so you need to re-think that. You don't seem on the right track here at all.

Try setting up a rule to trigger against a runner in order in favouritism to trigger against a price when it is the shortest price. That way you only trigger when it is favourite.

Thanks for your PM but your strategy is wrong, so you need to sort that first before you try and automate it. Back all on that trigger is a sure way to lose money

If you use Lingfield last friday as an example, backing at <2.1, had your bet been matched, would have given a loser in all races bar the last, and 2 losers in a few races! http://form.horseracing.betfair.com/horse-racing/300312

Looking further, Dundalk the same day wouldn't have been any good either, but laying at <2 would have been successful for most races on both tracks.

listen guys the 2.1 was just a index. the thing i want to do is back when reaches 1.1 so its pretty fair that i win the bet, it is not THAT frequent that 2 horses reach 1.1, it happens though not always and i am willing to take the risk!
