Hello

I'm am sure this has been said before, but I am thinking about opening an in-running trading room in the North West.

As an ex independent bookmaker, we already have pictures from both SIS and Turf Tv.

Is there still a market for a trading room? I know quite a lot of in running traders now go to the course.

Any advice or information would be greatly received, also if anybody would like to come and have a look at the set up please let me know.

Cheers

Hi
I'm from the Northwest (Manchester) and I dont know of any trading rooms in the area. Where are you based?
There used to be one on Warrington but I dont think they generated enough business to sustain it as it was solely a trading room and depended upon that revenue entirely.
There are people making money at this for sure. If you look at any race today and click on the graph on the winner you will see Thousands traded seconds before the finish

Hi Peter

We are based in Nelson, just of the M65. We already have a few prospective customers, just trying to let people know that we are available.

As I mentioned in previous post, we are ex bookmakers so we have the pictures anyway which we use for our own trading, makes sense to offer the pictures to others.

I believe the nearest trading rooms are Leeds and Cardiff which is quite a journey for anybody from the North West

Morning all
I'm due to go down to london in the next couple of weeks to see a client and thought that I would call in to one of the trading rooms the day before to see it in action...(just curious!)
I think that there are only two in the london Area, one at Elite Bet and one in Canary Wharf? Just wondered if anyone had visited both and would recommend one over the other?

Canary Wharf is prob better placed for me as I have client in the area, but think I would prefer to go to Elite Bet esp if Mr Wong is still there??

Regards

I went last year. Canary Wharf was closed though. Went to elitebet in the end. Got charged £50 for the 3 hours I was there. In a pokey room with some in play traders. They seemed nice. Thought I was crazy trading pre race. Computers were ok. not great. Connection seemed good. Not as good as what I was expecting though. Overall it was more a novelty rather than a long term solution if I went to london regularly.

I've been to both and would prefer Canary Wharf. You won't find many pre-race traders though, they are 99% in play traders.
