Hi,

I am new to the site and wondered if someone could give me a little guidance?

I will give you an example of what I am trying to do-

BACK horse X for example @ 4/1, before the start of the race, then whilst In-play, if horse X reaches 1.20 in running, I want BetAngel to Automatically trigger the 'Green-up' ?

Kind regards in advance.

Hi, this is tricky because the green up function only works on price , you would set a green up rule to green up if profit is greater than = x but you would have to work out roughly the profit when it hits 1.20 and work off that.

Hi legends,

Thanks for response.

When you say green up only works on price - does that mean I would need to enter the amount of profit I am looking to lock in?

Hi

Another manual way would be to use the ladder screen. Then after your back bet was matched you can click the Greening checkbox, then if you click on the value next to the 1.2 odds it will enter a lay trade to green up. Click the Keep All button in the unmatched bets to keep in play.

Trust you have good reasons to do this strategy, it will not take many races that don't reach 1.2 to put you in a losing position.

Hordalan,

Cheers for the reply!

When you say " when back bet is matched click the green up box" is that on the 1 click page? as it doesn't do anything on the ladder page unless you have layed off?
Then you said "click on the value next to the 1.2 odds and it will enter a lay trade to green up"? When you say Value, are you refering to the pink lay box to the right of the 1.2? and if so what figure (£) would go in there??.... would it be the same stake as the original back bet or would it be 1/5th of the back bet ( a fifth being the calc used for greening, so I believe)?

sorry for the lack of understanding!

...With regards to the actual approach.. I have a betting system that i use which has a very high strike rate and this idea would be used to lock profit in (in a head bobbing case).

Hi Aha gel

Look at the leftmost column in the ladder, when your back bet is matched there are values there which vary for eack tick or odds.
When you click the greening box the values change slightly, these are the greening up values.
By clicking on this value BA will put a greening up trade into the market for the value shown next to 1.2 odds. If you left the greening box unclicked it puts a lay bet on for the same value as the back bet.

Hope this is clear.

Good luck with your system.
