The automation feature in Guardian is a pretty nifty tool that makes it easy to auto trade by defining a set of automation rules and/or conditions. However these "conditions" are fixed global characteristics with BA (WOM, %Book, Volume etc).

What I would really like to see is the ability to define an automation "condition" that interacts with an already linked Excel sheet.

All the elements seem to be in place in Guardian insofar that you can link a Auto Rules file AND an Excel sheet to each race. What is missing is the ability in auto "conditions" to be able to refer to a cell in Excel.

For example I could have a calculated value in one of my Excel cells (say cell K1) that defines whether I want to place a bet (say K1 = yes) and I am able to use this calculation in the "condition" element of the Automation Rules.

eg set Condition Type to "Excel Code" and allow it to test K1 for a specific value. (eg If Excel K1 = yes)

In this way it would be possible to compute any complex decision making process in Excel (K1), pass the instruction to BA via the Condition tab and open up the Automation Rules to a whole new world of trading.
