No action on so many markets

Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

I cant believe so many high profile matches in spain and portugul are flat lining all the the way to kick off, with no activity hardly. Some days it's hard to find a suitable market, so many are croaking.

I have to agree with you

Ive been really surprised by the start of the football season. The liquidity has been below par, but the fill rate is absolutely awful

Yesterday, I placed what I thought was a perfect trade on Mallorca, but ended up with just £17.50 after 3 hours. Really disappointing stuff

I suspect that the Spanish being blocked from using the exchange at the moment may be a significant contributor to that.

Bit left field here.
There are some very very clever individuals out there who have, and are developing software that models football markets very efficiently.

On the low liquidity markets anything that deviates from what the model says will be snapped up. These leaves markets exactly where they should be and no value. In fact there may be better value in backing with the big Euro bookies that will actually take your bet and not charge you commission, premium charge or any other thieving deduction. So the question is what is the point of placing a bet on these markets with BF? hence low liquidity.
Plus there is a spiral of low liquidity. No one wants to bet in an low liquidity market as you cannot get out. You have to be 100% confident the price your taking is correct (back to the modelling software).
Perhaps we could persuade "The Bomber" to switch to soccer

I was trading the Blackpool/leicester game yesterday in between races; the fill rate was atrocious. Even after a goal went in and you can normally make some easy money before the markets settle, it was still as bad.
I take my hat off to you football traders; you earn your money in those markets
