For love or money, i cant see myself ever doing well at pre race trading, i have no patience and i cant see any thing fun about spending 4 hours a day looking at a ladder screen, but saying that i have been reckless with my approach up to about three days a go when i worked out how to lock in profit every time. But this method partly does involve some in play work, using two screens and this amazing software, i now find it very easy without the strain on my head i always had before. Anyway props to all of you that green up pre race and make a living from it, i really cant see how you do it.

If you don't find pre race trading fun or interesting then you may as well quit now as far as im concerned.

It takes alot of time and effort to learn and personally i could not have done it without really wanting it and enjoying it.

If in-play is more suited to you then fine, but i wouldn't get to excited about a few winning days just yet :) .

Like i said my method is pre race and in play, and you cant not make a profit, unless i pass out or the computer fails. I'm sure the people who make a living from it know what i mean.

Ok

I suspect you are heading for a fall if you think you can't lose, but good luck anyway.

This person who makes a living clearly doesnt have a clue what you mean :) .

No go on say it big man hiding behind your keypad lol, total mug. All i said is i dont know how people can trade like that pre race, i even said props to those who can. Yes i can now make a living from this 100% doing it my way, so what's the problem here, exactly there's not one, just idiots with two much time on there hands. If anyone does green up pre race on the horses i admire the fact you have found the edge because i tried real hard and i admire your patience and concentration levels. I will always speak my mind and say it how i feel as we are all different and something i may say could be a help to someone, even if the mug already knows it.

necessity.

trading is interesting (most of the time).

watching the racing every afternoon is better than going to endless meetings with sycophantic t0ssers in the corporate world.

Just for the record, i have had mainly good days over the last three months, lucky enough there was some help from this forum which helped me tweak it slightly, i have been on this solid 10 hours a day for three months, and even thinking about it all the time when i was not trading, i have lost £3000 and i nearly gave up 5 times, so cut me some slack here guys.

Good so it works on paper then :) ,
But best see if it works with real money and long term before going out and buying the Ferrari ;), that’s all I was saying, was trying to help.

But ignore advice from people who have been there and done that if it if you like.
no skin off my nose

It's statements like this for the record that will get you into trouble, a very dangerous attitude to have if you ask me.

Like i said my method is pre race and in play, and you cant not make a profit, unless i pass out or the computer fails. I'm sure the people who make a living from it know what i mean.

In a few years time maybe you will look back and see how naive this statement is.
Infact i think im being naive myself actually this is probably a joke fishing thread, ok you got me well done ;) .

Nothing like a bit of passion in the debating chamber.

I came to sports trading from financials and this is what I have learned in the last 10 months.

A trading style in the financial markets will serve you well for many years. Wont necessarily always make you money all the time of course.

An edge using the exchanges will last for as long as it takes the market to spot it and take advantage.

Success using Bet Angel or another tool. (This is a tool nothing more) depends on a strong understanding of how markets work, how traders think and act, choice of when to an when not to, hard graft.

So keep putting the hours in. It will pay off in time.

Good luck

Frustrated
If you are genuine (and someone hasnt created a new user account to wind us up)!, then yes you can make money at this...but before you start posting on here, my suggestion is go an do as much homework as you can. (Even just the username is a bit suspicious! :o )

There is a wealth (no pun intended) of information on this forum and in Peter's blog which you should read. If not, then I suspect you will lose another £3k very quickly
Good luck

Peter

It does not matter how long it takes, i have cracked it, that's it. i lost three grand in the first few weeks of trading from poor advice from the net, yes i got sucked in. I will repeat it if your not interested in my thread or just a bit strange or bitter, dont waste your time posting, i have done a crash course and things are going very well, and as long as i stick to my game plan this will continue, mug i have read your posts your a cyber bully, who feels important on this forum lol, please give it a break, or pick an easier target. Happy days.
