Hello,

My log is reading that I have bets that have been killed and yet they have been placed and settled on Betfair. Does anyone know why this would be?

Basically I have been placing automated bets with offset greening (and using the fill kill to get rid of unmatched bets) - this has been fine however today I have had a number of back bets matched but the corresponding lays have been killed.

Any advice appreciated.

Without seeing your log entries and the corresponding Betfair account statement entries it would be impossible to say.

My guess is you have misunderstood or misread part of the log and that the bets placed on the exchange are not the ones you are seeing as cancelled in the log.

They should have corresponding bet reference numbers so it should be straightforward to cross check.

Thank you for the response. Already checked and matched the serial numbers. I would be happy to send the log but my guardian has deleted it (can I get this back?) It looks to me like the OFFSET bet has been killed but not the original.

My understanding is that the fill or kill element relates to the back bet not the offset bet but please correct me if I am wrong. The back bets are correct and have been placed so the BET ANGEL log is incorrect. My assumption is that because BET ANGEL thought the back had been killed the offset bet was not triggered and therefore the software was not working as I had intended - which is what is concerning.

Can anyone from BET ANGEL address this? Or am I wrong in my understanding of the software.

Many thanks

Were these bets killed when the market turned in-play? Unmatched bets are killed by the exchange unless TAKE SP or KEEP is selected. It could be this.

No the bets were placed in-play.

Today's have been fine however I had to run in practice mode as I didn't trust the software. I guess I will just have to give it another go tomorrow and if it fould up again contact BET ANGEL with the log report.
