Hi all
Been busy trading the English horse racing market pre-event for a while now and have yet to venture into the Irish racing markets. I notice that most of the time the liquidity is quite low but are there any other anomolies i should look out for?
Your help and advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Liquidity can be low but usually picks up a lot in the 10 mins before race time, same as UK. Probably the main thing to watch out for would be the off times, which can frequently be a good few minutes late which might clash with UK races you have an interest in.
There's no "Curley Alert" factor as such, but if a Tony Martin runner is a market mover early in the day you can be sure it will shorten towards off time as the sheep on their lunch breaks throw a few quid on it.
Can't really think of anything else after a long day, if anything springs to mind I'll PM you.

Many thanks for all your helpful advice Dublin_Flyer. Traded Gowran Park today for the first time and everything you said about liquidity and the late start times was spot on and very helpful. The markets performed the way i expected them too and was nice to have some turf racing today other than Meydan. Getting sick and tired of all the AW races but they are saving racing at the moment with all this weather!!! Can't wait for the weather to improve and for the quality of the racing to improve also. Once again many thanks for all your help and best of luck with the trading. Jonboy1213
