Hi all,

After reading mastering betfair I liked the look of his tennis strategy where he lays a fav at 1.25 and again at 1.15 then backs the player if they reach odds of 1.50 or 2.0 (whichever strategy you want to follow). So much back data has been covered to see that its very successful. What I want is a Bot that will lay the fav at these prices. once @1.25 and once @1.15 and then back @2.0. Obviously if the player doesn't reach 2.0 then the trade is lost. i'm ok with this as when you do get matches that reach 2.0 the profit out weighs the loss.

I wouldn't be looking at strong favs but favs priced around 1.30-1.60. More often than not these players jump up and down in the market. If the fav never reaches 1.25 then it classes as no bet.

The problems are i only want to lay in the first set and i don't want the lay to trigger after the fav goes 10 ticks above their starting price.

Any info would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Hello Clarkson,

I read that book and found it interesting. I did look into creating a similar bot. My thoughts were to place the Lay bets @ 1.25 & 1.15 as soon as the match went In-Play and the Favourite was priced between 1.30-1.60 then if they weren't matched once the match had been In-Play for 15 / 20 mins (Didn't decide how long) then cancel and no bet.

However, if the bets were matched, then it would stick up a Back bet @ 2.00 for the equvialant of a Green Book. This bet would be left until matched or the game finished. I downloaded the Wimbledon 2012 data from Betfair and analysed it. This would have been effective.

You could also trigger a CANCEL_ALL if the favourite price reached 10 points higher than the lowest matched price.

I started building this at the end of last year, then the Tennis season finished and I moved onto something else... which generally happens!

Good luck, let me know how you get on, and shout if you have any questions.

Did anyone create a bot that did this? As a new user of the software I am trying to create this, but if it's already out there I could save myself the time and mistakes!

Great work, thanks Dallas, and for all your other automations which I am playing around with currently.
