is there a way to use betangel to back a horse at SP price?

i imagine there isnt because SP hasn't been calculated until the race is on

lets say i want to back a favourite at SP and lay in running as i think it will go shorter. is there a way i could automate this so that I definitely get the SP? i assume the answer is no. if so, I have another question

whats the best way of setting up BA to get a price as close to the SP as possible. I am assuming the bet would have to be made a few seconds before race off time?

I understand what you are trying to do but I cannot understand why you want to do it? If you are looking to back at SP then a better price would probably have been available prior to the race starting. If you then want to lay off in running a larger back price would present a bigger profit? Are you looking for a favourite that has shortened so by definition is fancied to win?

If you want to take the SP then you could always place the bet at 1000 for example and then amend the bet status to "Take SP"

Is this a manual thing or are you hoping to automate it?
