A couple of bits of advice:
1, Don't do it
2, Don't do it
1, Don't do it
2, Don't do it
I started posting trades on my blog when I started it. Since I stopped my traffic has gone down. Even though I am now practically showing them exactly how I choose horses to trade, that are making money daily. Fact is most do not want to be taught, they want it on a plate.
i am not sure if this is a lack of self belief or lazy attitude.
Bizarre

Of the few that do learn from your videos, they're immensely grateful. In a industry that's very secretive by nature you're an open book. It's people like yourself and Peter that I aspire to.mugsgame wrote:Since I stopped my traffic has gone down. Fact is most do not want to be taught, they want it on a plate.

All learners have to start somewhere! Do your research rather than tips! Watch (do not always follow) the money. The betting site.com is free and gives you number of tips for each horse and even a race predictor, (not always right) but plenty of form indicators.Just one starting point for you.
Apart from when they get it completely wrong like the 3.50 at Ayr today where 'thebettingsite.com' said that 'Twin Plan' should be dead last and it romped home. I have never rated this site for newbies as the race simulator is to much of a draw in and promotes gambling rather than trading. The statistics may help but DO NOT ALWAYS TRUST WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN coz it wont always and then it hurts. You would be far better just trading pre off in the horses until you get the basics. Good luck anyway.barlorca wrote:All learners have to start somewhere! Do your research rather than tips! Watch (do not always follow) the money. As a more general note anyone know why this horse did so well everything said it shouldnt as far as I can tell?
As I stated in my previous posting: "Do your research!!!" I followed many sites, but look at their individual success rates. Certain races, certain courses, race distances, strength of favourite, number of tips, all factors have to be taken into account. Everybody will have a story of one horse that gains "X" lengths without any apparent reason.
All sites should be used with caution until your personal methodology is worked out. A profit can usually be made on a strong favourite halfway through a distance jumps race, wether the horse eventually wins or not. It is up to each individual to learn what works for them by trial and error, and what level of profit is required. Similary an early leader can be laid as usually it does not win.
As I stated, the site does not always get it right,(you can adjust the parameters) this was one instance when it didn't.

I wasnt having ' a go' balorca just trying to point out to sfarad the pitfalls. You see not so long ago I was after the same and learnt the hard way. Apologies if my post appeared to read differentlybarlorca wrote:As I stated in my previous posting: "Do your research!!!" I followed many sites, but look at their individual success rates. If you make the assumption that the market represents the sum of all human knowledge - public and private - and cannot be beaten by form analysis, you won't go far wrong.
And those few people who can beat the market generally will be too busy making money from it to share the fruits of their wisdom with the public (and thereby reducing the value they get).
