betfair s p after race has started
topbobby Hi everyone,i am a new member. Can u help please.Does bet angel have the facility to lay horses by a reduced % using the betfair sp price after the race has started.eg race starts/betfair sp says 3.0 on fav betangel fires in a lay at 2.0 as I have set it up to lay by a reduced price of 50% of what ever the bsp is.thanks robert
Yes. Bet Angel can do this.
You would need to develop this in a spreadsheet.
And in the latest version of Bet Angel (1.33.0) the 'actual SP' is now data provided to the spreadsheet once the event is under way.
Then all you need to do is apply your desired calculation and arm a trigger.

Whilst I do not want to be negative about what you are trying to do I would offer a note of caution.
The Betfair Starting Price (BSP) should be treated with caution in fact I call it the BullSh*t Starting Price or "The just after the start Starting Price"
Because there are players at the track and others with fast video feeds it means a slow start will generally return a higher SP whereas a fast starter (especially on the flat) will return a lower starting price.
Also, the money available at SP can be laughable, there have been times when I was the SP!! That is not a boast in relation to high stakes, it is quite the opposite. The amount was pitiful and it generally ends up costing me money!
If you want more advice then please feel free to ask.

Thank you 6th Sense for your response.
I am not sure how to add the Excel calculation into Guardian. I want to lay all horses not just one horse.
I understand how to trigger guardian after the race starts but want to pick up the SP and lay the field at various prices linked to each SP of each selection.
(eg if SP is between 2 and 2.3 then place a lay for £55 at 1.9, if SP is between 2.32 and 2.6 the place a lay for 50 at 2.0, if SP is between 2.62 and 2.9 then lay 40 at 2.5 etc etc).
My question is how to place this calculation into excel and then how to export from excel into Guardian.
Appreciate any help, i am having trouble trying to understand how the excel plug in works.
