When I am trading using minimum stakes, all goes pretty well and I end up making a profit, some trades I scratch while others I can leave open for a while then close. The profit isn't much but as a percentage of the bank I am happy with. But, as soon as I start using large stakes, I end up making a loss or at least using up most of the bank.

The trades are all similar so it isn't the kind of trades I am doing so it must be something else but what :?

Can anyone shed some light on this...please! I was thinking maybe I will never get the hang of it, but the small trades seem fine.

I would just Increase your stakes very gradually,
If you just jump from minimum stakes to large stakes straight away then you will find it hard.

It's very different game when your having to get hundreds or thousands matched.

Average your losses and profits for both types of stakes and compare. If you profits are smaller (relatively%) for the larger stakes then you know you are taking your profits to quickly, visa versa..

thanks for the replies, i will stay with minimum stakes for a while longer as i can understand the movements better for some reason then increase slowly as you say freddy.
Interseting to compare profit/losses LinusP...the min stakess are much better then bigger stakes which i seem to scratch too early and don't wait long enough to maximize profit. I was thinking of giving up but am now going to go back to min stakes and start again...for a while anyway!
