Italian ex-PM Berlusconi sentenced in Ruby sex case
I don't mean this as a criticism, but I'm surprised he was released pending his appeal. In the UK, if someone is found guilty of a crime like that, they are sent straight to jail. Otherwise, we'd have a lot of criminals fleeing the country whilst waiting for their appeal to be heard.

A bit like the ex prime minister here in Thailand who bought Man City a few years back. Convicted for two years and he asked if he could attend the Olympics in China before he started his sentence and hasn't been back since. Yet, he still runs the country through proxies and runs havoc through the country. I guess being judges in corrupt countries pays quite well!Ferru123 wrote:I don't mean this as a criticism, but I'm surprised he was released pending his appeal.
