WHICH BET UPDATED THE BALANCE?

Excel sheets running concurrently, bets shot on US horse races, answer comes later and the only way the sheet "knows" whether there was a win is because the balance is updated... but which bet was won? of course I can find that out by direct observation, by checking on rss which horse won etc... but the excel sheet cannot do that, it needs precise reference.

So my question is: is it possible to pick up the bet reference number that causes the balance to update, when this happens?

You could record a quick macro to capture trades and price before off and unless you matched two bets at same average odds you could identify winner

I've tried that allready, the problem is the tax on the winning...
so the amount added to the balance in case of winning is made up of the liability (subtracted at the shot), the winning - ROUGHLY 5%, and the calculation is never equal to the penny to what Betfair calculates, so we don't have a precise number...

what about using a greater than / less than range to identfy - although there will always be the race with very closely matched trades that would both return a TRUE - Sorry can't think of an exact solution
