Man United vs wigan Athletic in Wembley next week!

I know, I know, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to bet on 1x2 markets for this match. United is just towering over relegated Wigan. Also, Wigan never won last season against United (4-0, 0-4). RvP and Chicharito did the most damage, 2 goals each, in January. And what's more, United already have 19 titles for this contest, so not much value on that, I suppose.

I'm looking into other markets like over/under and winning margin. So far, i got my eyes on two books.

-over 3 @ 1.80 (Bet Victor)
-united win by 3 goals @ 4.60 (SBOBET)
I use oddsportal sometimes to check on odds but usually i just go directly to websites.

I'm no expert yet, though I've won a few matches on money lines LOL. Any advise from you guys would really be appreciated. Especially on where to profit best and in finding the best football odds. TIA! :P

5 days to go! I'm waiting for United to hit 1/2 or 1.50 before i take the 1x2 bet. it's @ 1.30 at tempobet but i'd set a notification at oddsportal if it reaches that price.

still at 1.30 so i took a bit of risk at 1x2 first half

1st half 1x2 @ 1.75
asian handicap: united -1.5 @ 1.94

hope all goes well

got some preview from man united site...

-this will be David Moyes chance to win his first trophy as United boss
-Coyle's side is expected to put up a good fight after b-beating Barnsley 4-0 at the Championship last week
-United were beaten 3-1 by Sevilla last week, and Moyes is expected to play a stronger squad. Nemanja Vidic, Rafael, Evra, and RvP will play. Nani, however, will face a late fitness test

-both teams have new managers. a different kind of game could* happen compared to their last meeting.

*emphasis on chance :D

Interesting that United have drifted quite a bit. I think there's a lot of punters who remain unconvinced about Moyes. Twitter was in meltdown during the Sevilla match, suggesting he's out of his depth

I think if Fergie was still in charge, your 4-0 would represent good value, but the landscape has changed a bit

It will be an interesting opening match and I'll be quite interested in seeing how it plays out. I mean Man Utd should never be under threat from Wigan, so if anything happens other than a comprehensive victory it would probably carry over to the start of the EPL season.

I always have 'extra' connected markets open during matches like this - United should win easily, so an unconvincing display will have immediate knock ons elsewhere

Watch PL outright betting, and Swansea vs Man Utd for next weekend. If United play shit, you should be able to spot some good trades on those connected markets

No I didn't bet on the first markets I wrote on this thread. I had it 1x2 on first half (Won) and United -1.5 at FT (won). I've noticed that, too, especially in preseason. Moyes seem to have difficulty winning although he could still win. Maybe he was still at the experimentation stage with his squad. That should be settled before the start of the PL.

So how did you find it? I think a 2-0 win, with both goals from RvP, isn't that comprehensive at all. Swansea are next and Wilfried Bony is looking good at the club. If United lose on that opener, I'd see a backlash on the fans and people will start missing Fergie.
