Hi,

I had the most frustrating of trades on Sunday evening during the fateful Istanbul derby match between Besiktas and Galatasaray. At half-time with Besiktas leading 1-0 I took a speculative punt on the Didier Drogba inclusive Galatasaray to turn things around and I backed them at around 8's. Checked back into the match at around 80 mins and to my joy Drogba had a brace and the score was 1-2 to the away side. I greened up and am sitting on over £400 profit and then disaster struck when in the 2nd minute of stoppage time a riot broke out in the stadium with a pitch invasion and match abandoned!!! I have contacted Betfair and they say that the match has 3 days to be resolved or it is voided. My question is do I have any recourse bearing in mind I had already won irrespective of the outcome? I am thinking not but just wondered if anyone else had any light to shed on this unfortunate circumstance. A glimmer of hope for me is that on the turkish-football.com website they quote the following: 'The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regulations state that in the event of a match being suspended by a pitch invasion the game will be postponed. The TFF disciplinary committee will then decide on the outcome of the result - which in this case is almost guaranteed to be a 3-0 victory awarded to Galatasaray.' Surely common sense will see that the Besiktas fans just tried to get the game stopped but I will not sleep well tonight.
