Hello, i've used betangel once or twice , not used guardian yet though.

Going to buy a few months again and wanting to know do i need gaurdian to do this.

I am in Australia and i like to lay places in Australian racing , I lay the place of one horse for 1.50 at $20 dollars (10) dollars liabilty, if that horse places i carry forward that liablity plus my initial wanting 20 dollars, so then the next horse place might be 1.60 so i put 10 loss earlier plus the 20 on this new horse at 1.60 $30 so liability is 18 dollars and so on i keep doing this until a horse doesn't place, i do it with sports to.

I want to do it in uk races but its late at night for me. I also want to do it with sports

I want to do is just choose say 4 horses from 4 different races, or 4 sports at 4 different finishing times, one after another and lay them all up bringing forward the liablity one after the other , until one of the horses dont place, or one of the sports dont win.

sort of martingale system ,

I'm sure this is easy to do in bet angel ?

It has to bring forward the previous liability aswell.

and keeps going until a horse doesn't place i.e i win because i doubled up all previous lays.

Your help appreciated :)

Like mugsgame I wonder if this is sustainable. At some stage you must have Balls of Steel.

yes, Bet Anglel can do but I think you should do it manually rather than getting all convoluted with Excel. just tee up the races you're interested in Guardian and then lay them as you go (as the bishop said to the actress).

Out of interest.. what sort of % return do you get on your system?

I hadn't heard of the Martingale http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale ... ng_system) system so looked it up.

Firstly, it reminded me of someone I once knew (honestly, it wasn't me) who ran a betting syndicate that essentially used this system. He started off applying a weighting to different tipsters based on performance over a number of months, but ended up using capital (from friends and other 'investors') to increase the bets, hoping to pay off the losses. He lost about 10k of their money (all the while, telling them that he was winning, and even handing out some 'winnings' to the more sceptical). In the end, the money ran out, so he stole from client accounts (he was a mortgage broker in Windsor). Can anyone say 'Bernie Madoff' ?

Secondly, whilst the Wiki article was good, I liked the irony of the sentance:
The martingale strategy has been applied to roulette as well, as the probability of hitting either red or black is close to 50%.
That's the whole point - it doesn't matter how close you are to 50%, if it is less than 50%, then you will lose. That's why Casinos love Roulette.

Wishing you good luck, even if I don't understand your logic!

Regards

I do quite well out of it, you don't need balls of steal you just keep laying 1.10 to 1.20 soccer favourites carrying forward liability , ? doesn't cost much for big returns, especially with soccer, your not going to get 10 1.20 soccer favs win out of ten , and even if you do start hitting 2.00 after that,

best way to use betfair in my opinon

i would lay soccer game after game , but i'm in Australia and get annoyed staying up all night lol

games are at 2am from my end , to late.

But thanks anyways , if anyones interested in working on the scrip for me pm me,

thanks :)

Just out of interest fellas, I recently tried it.
My system was very similar to horseplay's

I set aside £1000 and having noticed how many football matches have 2 goals scored in the final 15mins, I decided to have a system of laying another 2 goals being scored when 75mins were on the clock

I had some success, but soon realised how quick things can go belly up. I gave up because I got bored, I'd made £120, but it was a white knuckle ride. It was just a little experiment for me, but if someone is doing it for real then there's every chance you'll be on benefits and living back with your parents before long

It just seemed a bit of a dangerous road (forever betting more to get out of a hole), but if it works for you, then go for it and good luck :P

you have to many variables less tip
ignore the soccer goals

with the lay all up martingale has to be straight out laying the favourite soccer team to win

and continue from there

theres that many draws, plus the opposite side to win

ect

variables to high laying soccer goals ect.

This would be easy to do, just use excel and base it on your bank. As soon as your bank fell below a certain amount 'stop', it would only take a few IF statements.

Good luck.....
