Anyway my trouble started with my router, I should say a router because I keep my trading network and the home network separate. My daughter is always online with videos and my son playing online games with his PS3. I had a Virgin Media Super Hub 2 but I noticed it kept dropping connections. It seemed no matter what I did the fault keep occurring. I decided to put it in modem only mode and used a D6300 from Netgear...oh dear what a dreadful unit full of bugs and issues. I returned that and bought an Asus RT-N66...oh dear what a pile of crap with even more bugs and glitches. That also went back so I am going with a trusty Draytek 2920n. It is not as fast as the other two but it is much more reliable. I have a 2820n for my trading set-up and it rarely lets me down. I may have the 2920n for myself!

So problem one seems to be sorted but enter problem number 2. "Dad, the shower isn't working"

Then finally comes problem number 3, the water cooling pump on my main trading PC is dying and so that needs replacing. I have ordered the unit but for now I will have to switch to another main PC unit for trading.
The good news? Well I caught the fault quickly on the pump and it only cost me £50 on a trade. The PC stopped as a precaution with the bios recognising the falling RPM on the pump. I was able to switch to my laptop and get out. I would've lost a lot more if my laptop wasn't nearby!
As I am struggling with health I am only trading part time so every cloud has a silver lining!
