A couple of full timers have left to pursue other careers, I just wonder who on the forum is full time?

I know the following are :-

Peter (Euler)
Mugs
SweetBT
LeTiss
Hgodden
JollyGreen

Anyone else? There just seems to be a lot less than I can ever remember?
(Im not full time by the way. In the past my earnings from betfair surpassed my salary, but thats not the case anymore  )

Ive just lost track with who is and isn't full time and just curious

I'm not full time and never will be, far to risky.

If your good at trading i would suggest working part time and doing trading part time.

Full time traders are leaving for a reason.

I trade most days but work part time, my jobs crap and doesn't pay well though so I'm ecstatic if I'm a £1 up at the end of a trading day. :D

Here is risk - I had three children including twin toddlers and a well paid job managing European clients to trade full time!

Your one of the very few to make a good income, for nearly all that try this it's so difficult to make even a small amount of money.

I'm still here Peter, through being stubborn as much as anything!

I went for a few beers into Central Southampton after a heavy day of trading during December. I met numerous Xmas parties going on, with drunken office flirting circulating around me.

I missed it, it reminded me of days when that was me. My office party was me and my cat Sam :(

Why don't you guys get together one day, swap stories, have a laugh and a joke. Organise a party, outing, get together .. . Even if only two people turn up and you have a coffee for half an hour you will be better for it. Discussion and communication leads to the adjacent possible, that is a discovery not possible without the input or spark from another person.

Today is the best day in human history to be alive. There has never been more freedom, opportunity, technology is advancing and accelerating at an unprecedented rate etc. Tomorrow will be even better.

Full time over 7 years here - strictly horses in-play these days - can honestly say I've never enjoyed it more.

I know what you mean, I fondly remember the days of marketing girls with great legs and getting paid to spend long afternoons in City boozers.

was f/t for 3-4 years; now p/t dabbler (racing).

Full time when I'm trading but still take on building projects that can range from a week to a month in length (when the money is right) at which time I don't usually trade at all, so part time overall ( if that makes sense)

I have been intending to just trade full time going forward but the recent negativity surrounding it has put some doubts in my mind. I guess it will be governed by my p/l and my consistency as being self employed I can always fall back on the the other work if needed

FT for nearly four years. Would probably be making more working at the local McDonalds, but really enjoy the challenge and not having to wear the uniform :D
